RE: Culinary Craft
Cupcake go the the Beginners luck and the living room is there. I'm thinking of uploading it when I'm done with he whole lot.

I'm glad you like it.

When you and a halfling are being chased buy a dragon, remember you don't have to out run the dragon, you just have to outrun the halfling.

RE: Culinary Craft
I'm in love with all these kitchens. Awesome job everyone. I have a particular soft spot for motherof70's kitchen. It has such a warm, earthy, lived in feel to it. I would like to try my hand at this one too. I will be using SIMS3.

RE: Culinary Craft
Here is my entry. The kitchen is in a 1920s Craftsman style bungalow. One of the bedrooms was used in the "Kid's View" Challenge. Living in the household are Elena, her parents Lucy and Will, and toddler brother Lee. Given the age of the house, it is a small house, so the kitchen is eat in. Lucy is a teacher who paints in her spare time, so I wanted the space to show her passion for art and color. The idea with these pictures is late evening, after the kids have gone to bed, and then the following morning. Clutter is intended to help capture that feeling of time in the space. The kitchen is fully usable with the exception of the high chair - the door blocks it, and one of the dining chairs because of the toy under the table (later removed for game play).

For now it is just for sims 3, but I will get our darling converter Laura on the case then I run into her

gotmilk: I like your colours, may I offer a tiny bit of advise on the picture taking. Grids showing in the pictures make it hard to see the room - it pulls the focus away from what you are showing. You can make the grid not show up by taking the pictures in live mode. Just press pause, press tab (removes the interface and lets you navigate) and then you can move your camera around until you got the best angle. There is a bit more advise on that in my signature.

RE: Culinary Craft [Now with a participation gift]
gotmilk, very nice pics. Like macthekat said grid lines do make it hard to see. One other bit is while your colors and patterns go together very nice there are too many dark elements. Dark wood floors, dark wood counter/cabinets, dark colored counters. Try going with a white or tan color on the floors or counters to break it up and show off the room more.

When you and a halfling are being chased buy a dragon, remember you don't have to out run the dragon, you just have to outrun the halfling.
